  • Introduction

Around 1.2 billion people, or 1 in 6 of the world’s population are adolescents aged 10 to 19. Most are healthy, but there is still substantial premature death, illness, and injury among adolescents. Adolescent includes school and college going children, School dropouts, those engaged in various criminal activities and many more. Adolescent health, or youth health, is the range of approaches to preventing, detecting or treating young people’s health and wellbeing. As a community physician, we have observed that, research in the field of adolescent health both boys and girls is somewhere lacking. The more focus is definitely either on Mother and child group or geriatric group. We understand the need of research in this age group because they are the future of world.
